Senior Planning & Strategy Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:

The Planning Strategy Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting the developing, executing and reviewing CoE's strategic plan based on management's vision and guidance and ensuring that department corporate KPIs are aligned with strategic objectives. The role's accountabilities include contribution in Strategy Planning, Strategy Development, Strategic Alignment, Strategy Communication, Strategy Execution, Initiatives Management, Performance Management and Strategy Control and review.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

1. Strategic Planning

•  Analyze impact / relevance of different relevant information relating to industry, economic or governmental information that may impact CoE strategy.
•  Perform competitive analysis, in depth research and benchmarking that support strategic planning and development of CoE's corporate strategy
•  Perform external and internal assessments and present findings, including keeping up with studies and information updates in CoE’s industry and domain.
•  Provide guidance to departments and functions in performing external and internal assessments for their areas and identifying changes in their environment

2 Strategy Development

•  Carryout tasks related to strategy development, including workshop preparing and material management
•  Detail objective documents, KPIs document and Initiatives (all in the final strategy document.) and ensure their completeness.
•  Participate in the efforts to translate strategies into actionable and quantitative operational plans.
•  Review and ensure completeness and relevance of the operational plans and support the organizational alignment by assessing and suggesting necessary organizational changes.
•  Support workshops for different stages of strategy development and cascading, including support and take notes of discussion and help fine-tune ideas.

3 Strategy Execution and Review

•  Gather and analyze execution data from departments and contribute in preparing periodic strategy execution reports based on departmental and corporate objectives and KPIs and using the balanced scorecard framework.
•  Review and ensure completeness and relevance of the operational plans and support the organizational alignment by assessing and suggesting necessary organizational changes.
•  Execute the activities leading to the CoE’s strategy review and performance monitoring against plan, budgets, and strategic objectives.

4  Strategy Communication

•  Conduct strategic awareness sessions to communicate CoE strategy to internal employees and help aligning their objectives and KPIs to departmental and corporate strategic objectives and KPIs.
•  Guide and advice employees on their role and contributions to achieve departmental and corporate objectives and KPIs using balanced scorecards and strategy maps frameworks.

5 Corporate Performance

•  Participates in preparing and producing the overall strategy performance report.
•  Collects, analyzes and interprets high volumes of statistics and information relating to KPIs and performance appraisals.

•  Coordinates the implementation of improvement activities whenever non or under corporate performance is identified or anticipated.
•  Produces relevant, accurate and timely corporate performance reports in formats accessible to CoE's employees.

6 Initiative Management

•  Follow up and report strategic initiatives’ performance.
•  Support the strategic initiatives’ owners in defining scope, and the proper linkage of Initiatives to strategic KPIs.

QUALIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:-

•  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or other relevant fields.
•  Professional Certificate in Business Strategy & BSC is preferred.

JOB EXPERIENCE :-

•  5 Years of experience in Planning and Strategy Field.
