Job Summary:

The college dean is responsible to the project manager for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the college, aligning with Colleges of Excellence goals and objectives.

Establishing and maintaining industry partnerships and collaborating with employers and stakeholders to enhance students' employment opportunities will be of key importance.

The college dean is required to represent the college at both internal and external forums, including meetings with the project management team, industry associations, and community groups.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee the development, implementation, and enhancement of the College's programs and curricula, ensuring they are relevant and up-to-date.

Collaborate with faculty and department heads to ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and student engagement within the college's programs.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success, personal growth, and career development.

Manage faculty, development, and performance, including conducting evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

Develop and manage the College's budget, allocating resources effectively to support educational and operational needs.

Ensure compliance with relevant educational regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance processes.

Lead efforts to assess and improve the college's programs through data analysis, feedback collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with the public relations specialist, the operations manager, and the college registrar to promote the college's programs, attract students, and meet enrollment targets.

Support the development of research and innovation initiatives, encouraging faculty and students to contribute to knowledge creation.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among faculty, staff, and students.

Address challenges and conflicts within the college, utilizing effective communication and conflict resolution skills.

Stay updated on trends and developments in education, bringing new ideas and approaches to enhance the college's offerings.

Uphold the institution's values, policies, and ethical standards, serving as a role model for integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or master's degree in tourism & hospitality, business administration, or other relevant fields is required; a PhD degree is a strong advantage.

Be an English speaker; if English is not their first language, must hold a minimum of IELTS Academic 7.5 or equivalent.

Have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in post-secondary, technical, and/or vocational.

A minimum of 3 years of senior management or leadership experience in tourism & hospitality or a closely related field is required.
