Job Summary:

The Employer Engagement & On-the-Job Training (OJT) has dual reporting lines to the student affairs manager and the college dean. The candidate’s responsibility is to assist the fresh graduates in finding career & training opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying companies and securing employment opportunities & OJT placements for graduating students and graduates.
  • Counseling fresh graduates one-to-one or in small groups to discuss career options and linking them with matching employers.
  • Prepare the graduating students to draw up action plans for OJT preparation, companies’ expectations from OJT students, and outcomes required from the OJT experience.
  • Helping fresh graduates to prepare for employment by providing advice on CV writing, job hunting, and interview techniques.
  • Advising fresh graduates on how to source relevant training courses or qualifications and what funding might be available.
  • Providing advice on CV writing, job hunting, and interview techniques.
  • Helping fresh graduates to understand the current job market.
  • Liaising and negotiating with other organizations on behalf of the college to secure employment and OJT opportunities.
  • Planning and organizing careers fairs and conventions.
  • Keeping up-to-date with labor market information, legislation, and professional and academic developments by visiting employers, training providers, and training events run by educational and professional bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, human resources, or other relevant fields.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field. 
  • Fluency in both verbal and written English.
