Job Description
Working as an educational curriculum designer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within a team to develop, review, update and present electronic training and academic curricula.
Duties and responsibilities:
Work within a team to design and develop training programs and various electronic curricula for trainees
Conduct extensive desk research on appropriate instructional design that takes into account popular culture, policies, and best practices
Evaluate the electronic curriculum to determine whether it meets needs and is compatible with learning outcomes and e-learning standards
Formulating a description of the training program/unit for the electronic curriculum in terms of learning hours, unit summary, learning outcomes, and resources
Using educational design and analysis models and scenarios
Designing scenarios and developing e-learning content.
Writing scenarios and supporting screens to integrate media into e-learning courses.
Follow up on the stages of content development and implementation, the suitability of work orders, and review the quality of scientific material designs.
Work on producing all documents required for the educational design stage according to the modern methodology
Designing educational content by following the latest theories and trends in designing electronic training materials.
Analyze, design, and evaluate the contents of electronic training programs.
Supervising the development of electronic training programs.
Development and instructional design of a training curriculum that includes, but is not limited to:
The training unit plan and the electronic curriculum in general
Lesson plans and objectives
The content of the electronic lessons and linking them to the learning outcomes, including exercises, interactive activities, and a summary of each lesson.
Develop electronic content so that it is rich in materials, images, explanatory video clips, visual explanations, video, graphics, and animation
Develop measurement and evaluation tools to ensure that learning outcomes are covered within the electronic content.
Questions and exercises (short-answer and long-answer questions) at the end of each topic
Label all graphs and pictures correctly.
Classification of charts.
Required skills:
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in instructional design, curriculum, training principles, and effective assessment strategies
- Knowledge of digital learning tools and the ability to choose appropriate training methods.
- Experience working with teams to develop accurate and appropriate e-learning content
- Advanced skills in Office programs, including writing on Word and presenting on PowerPoint
- The ability to accept and receive feedback and integrate it into training program materials
- Ability to manage, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
- Ability to meet project deadlines accurately
- Skills in current computer-based training programs and e-learning tools
- Knowledge of local and international models in educational design.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in educational technology, instructional design, or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in educational design and development of artistic and/or technical digital curricula.
