Job Description
Overview
The LMS Administrator is responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and support of our Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, primarily Moodle. This role will ensure the smooth operation of these platforms, providing a high-quality learning experience for our users
Roles and Responsibilities:
- LMS Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Moodle and Open Edx platforms.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
- Create and customize courses, modules, and activities.
- Install plugins as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS.
- Platform Optimization:
- Monitor LMS performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize LMS settings for optimal user experience and load times.
- Implement security measures to protect the LMS and user data.
- User Support:
- Provide technical support to users, including faculty, staff, and students.
- Assist with course creation and management.
- Train users on LMS features and best practices.
- Data Management:
- Manage and backup LMS data to ensure data integrity and security.
- Generate reports and analytics on LMS usage and performance.
- Create multiple reports as needed by the business unit.
- Integration:
- Integrate the LMS with other systems, such as HRIS, SIS, and CRM.
- Develop and maintain custom plugins or integrations as needed.
- Stay Updated:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest LMS trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Research and evaluate new LMS features and tools.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years proven experience administering Moodle and Open Edx platforms.
- Experience in Moodle reporting and report generation tools to be connected with Moodle (Ex. Power Bi)
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of windows and Linux systems, web servers (Apache/IIS), databases (MySQL/MS SQL server), and programming languages (PHP, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
