Job Summary:
The Registration & Student Affairs Specialist is responsible to the college operations manager for managing students’ records and ensuring their accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable regulations. Will coordinate the registration process for new students, including course enrollment and scheduling. Ensure the delivery of comprehensive student support services designed to enhance the student experience and aligned with the college's strategic leadership and management.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, providing guidance on academic challenges, career planning, and personal issues.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to enrollment, course registration, and student records management.
- Student engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote a positive campus culture and student well-being.
- Collaborate with academic departments to create and maintain class schedules and academic calendars.
- Disseminate important academic deadlines, policy updates, and event information to students.
- Provide support to students and academic departments regarding course registration, academic policies, and graduation requirements/clearance.
- Look out for students who are struggling and step in early to help them
- Collaborate with academic departments to identify and provide support to students who may need additional academic or emotional assistance.
- Provide guidance and support to students on academic planning and career pathways.
- Prepare and share official transcripts, certificates, and academic documents with students, alumni, and external parties.
- Generate reports and statistical data related to student enrollment, retention, and academic performance.
- Implement policies and procedures related to student conduct, ethics, and campus safety, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Liaise with student clubs, organizations, and associations to encourage student involvement and leadership opportunities.
- Implement technology solutions for student records management and enrollment processes.
- Support the implementation of student information systems and tools to streamline administrative processes.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and best practices related to student records and enrollment.
- Participate in college committees related to enrollment and registration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in managing complex record systems and computer systems development.
